Post free advertisement in grocery stores.
Make a website so that when people google it, it will come up.
Not too sure on how much this one will cost, but list in the Yellow Pages.
Yard signs, magnet on your vehicles, decals on vehicles.

Go to your phone book and send a post card to all the people listed as ';painting contractors'; Announce that you are now adding ';Acme Brand'; to your line. To sweeten the deal, offer a freebie -- a free gallon when you buy 5, 10% off, or something like that.

Hand out fliers (here alot of people put them on cars at walmart parking lot)
send a business flier or card with you bills when you mail them
