When I work in the industry (was a decorator for 12 years) the best paint we would use for undercoat and gloss was Permaglaze very high gloss and hard wearing. Always had to buy it in trade shops though.
Crown and Dulux in europe seem to be the brand leaders now a days though.
Stay away from brands that put Trade on the tin, mostly means weak and low coverage.
But with all paints the best tip I can give is give it a good stir before use (the pigment and solvent does separate over time) and never let paint get too cold else it 'livers' and is unusable.
Clean and rubdown areas before painting.
Use clean brushes (especially when glossing).
You may also want to look into tacky rags ;)Which is the best paint brand to use?
dulux. if you have family or kids use the washable/wipeable paint that they offer. they also have a non-smelling piant, which doesnt smell so strong while your painting.
we used dulux and we have also used a local diy own brand and they all do the same job!
happy painting!Which is the best paint brand to use?
Sherwin Williams..and definately not behr..it sucks, it is not user friendly and they WILL NOT HONOR THIER WARRANTY..they didnt with me!
depends what your painting the best paint i have used is hammerite which is made by dulux now i think it is mainly a paint for metal products but i find its excellent
In the states, Walmart paint is rated very high.
I bought it and it is very good coverage. The price is good, too.
I will keep using this one.
Benjamin Moore is the best paint we have ever used. Everyone I know will only use Benjamin Moore. It's considered the best.
I like Valspar from Lowes - the Signature Collection (in a blue can)!
dulux it is the best paint on the market
