How long does paint usually last for on a brand new vehicle? Should it be chipping in any areas?

i just bought a mercedes c230 last march, and now i just noticed some areas of chipping paint, and it does not look like it's from rocks hitting it on the highway. there is some on the bumper and there is some on the hood. please help. i expected more out of mercedes benz!How long does paint usually last for on a brand new vehicle? some paint jobs chip due to bad prep work beforehand even on new cars. in the industry they say that it was done on a monday(usually due to the lack of interest of work people feel on a monday). mercedes and Chrysler are now one corp. so the same shoddy work u tried to avoid by buying a foreign car is now part of Mercedes corp. take it back to the dealer have their auto body man take a look.How long does paint usually last for on a brand new vehicle? Should it be chipping in any areas?
no it shouldnt be chipping but it is more than likely from small rocks
