I have been painting my house indoors for about 3 weeks. Today I opened a new 3-pack of Wal-mart(mainstays) bought rollers and noticed that the fur was shedding off as I painted!!
I have never had this happen before! Why would it do that? Faulty?Anyone have a wal-mart brand Paint roller shred on them while painting?
This happens alot with cheaper products. If you must use a cheaper brand roller nap, wrap the entire roler nap with painter's tape and then pull off. This will take off any loose material. If you can, buy a higher quality nap like Purdy. You can wash and use over again, also alot less shedding. Although it never hurts to use tape on any nap before first use, just in case.Anyone have a wal-mart brand Paint roller shred on them while painting?
If you still have the receipt, and it has been less than 90 days since you bought them, you can take them back and get a refund. If you don't have the receipt, you can get an exchange only.
One thing, before using new rollers, especially wool ones, you want to take some wide masking tape and pull the loose fibers off of the roller. New rollers always have loose fibers on them.
