I am painting my house (interior), have you ever used Valspar brand paint from Lowes?

I sell paint for a living, and my experience is that it is a little on the thin side. a thicker paint will cover better, and apply much better. I would suggest Benjamin Moore. you will get better service and support from your local paint store by a trained profesional, not some kid at lowes. Most customers tell me they will never use anything but Ben Moore after trying it. It really is MUCH better paint.

Also, the local Benjamin Moore store should be able to match the valspar colors really well.I am painting my house (interior), have you ever used Valspar brand paint from Lowes?
I am painting the exterior of my house, and I am using Valspar. Mainly, I use it because I live in a small town and that's what the hardware store sells. But, it's done a nice job. I did a little checking first before I bought it because I didn't want to use a cheap paint. I at least knew that much. Valspar is from Minnesota and is the sixth largest paint manufacturer in the US. They also own products like Goof Off and Quikrete

concrete mix.

I noticed all summer that there were commercials advertising Behr (Interior) Paint as number 1 in customer satisfaction. It was either Lowes or Home Depot.

I have painted my whole interior with Behr from Home Depot. I love it and do not like to use anyhting else.
I am a painting contractor of 20 years and the above posts that indicate ben moore is a much better paint are certianly true,it is considerably more expensive.I think that Valspar compared with other paints in its price range gives you the best paint for the money.I have certian builders that require that I use valspar on their homes, and I have never had any problems, it covers well and touches up well, their exterior paint is quite thick but does a good job.
I'm a retired painter. My favorite paint is Benjamin Moore. Their California paints are very good. I have used valspar and it is a good product. The most important thing to remember is you get what you pay for. Spending a little more in the begining will save time and money in the long run. It is also a good idea to prime with a tinted primer (BM Fresh Start). Priming allows for the best coverage.
