It is a concrete floor. We added sand to the paint to prevent slipping. We do have grease stains on the floor from the fryer. The paint we used is flaking off as you clean it. A mop does not do a good job cleaning. We need a scrub brush. The organization that uses it said we did not use the right brand of paint. Did anyone have success with a certain brand and what do you clean it with? What brand paint would you use for a concession stand floor and does it eventually flake from cleaning it?
Try a marine paint, that will tolerate the wetness more....What brand paint would you use for a concession stand floor and does it eventually flake from cleaning it?
I suspect you may not have had the floor cleaned properly before painting the first time. Grease can really keep any kind of paint from sticking.
TSP is a pretty good degreaser but you may need more than that. I suggest you go to a paint store and talk with them about the proper way to prepare the surface prior to painting.
go to a high end paint store and ask for a two part epoxy paint if applied right you should not have any problems.
